ATLANTA -- Two 11Alive Class Act Winners are supporting a powerful way to get kids to think about the civil rights movement.
Debi West of North Gwinnett High School and Kevin Cole of Westlake High School are both artists and art teachers who are putting their efforts behind "The Dream Art Contest: Visions of the Civil Rights Movement and America Today."
Organizers of the contest want to get young people to understand and appreciate the importance of history and the arts in education and in daily lives.
