ATLANTA -- Melissa Long, anchor of 11Alive's The Rundown on MyAtl-TV takes us behind the scenes as she prepares for the show.

"There's so much news to be disseminated and we are taking it upon ourselves to make sure that we find the best of the best," said Long. "We're searching for the best video, the best sound, and the best pictures. That can be captured in Egypt or Dahlonega, or right here in Metro-Atlanta."
Melissa co-anchors The Rundown with Jeff Hullinger and also reports for the 11pm newscast.
"Every day I learn something from him and I think we have a good rapport," she said. "I genuinely enjoy sitting next to him."
Long has interests in business and the arts. Before joining 11Alive, she was an anchor and reporter with CNN and Bloomberg.
