Consumer Reports surveyed 26,000 shoppers and the overall winner was Costco.
It earned a grade of outstanding for the quality of its merchandise And above average in most other categories. A Costco membershiop costs $55 per year.
Next in order of scores were:
Kohl's
JC Penney
Target
Macy's
Meijer
Sears
Sam's Club
Kmart
Walmart
