MACON, Ga. -- Some everyday Georgians could be extras in a Harrison Ford-supported movie about Jackie Robinson expected to be shot in Macon this summer.
A local Macon newspaper is reporting that casting company Southern Hollywood Events is looking for 500 extras daily June 12 and June 13 at Luther Williams Field. Participants will get free food, prizes and a chance to see the stars of the movie "42," named for the pioneering baseball player's number.
Movie extras are supposed to wear 1940s attire. Filming could take three weeks in Macon alone.
